No DACA replacement on agenda

Mitch McConnell says DACA deal won’t happen this year
Congress will not hold discussions on former President Barack Obama’s immigration program this year, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said Tuesday.

However, McConnell said talks about the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, which shields young immigrants who came to the U.S. as children from deportation, would be held in 2018.
