I go by Hood King i was born Houston TX and raised in Sunnyside grow up in some apartments called Wilmington apartments i started rapping at the age of 12 me and my cousin (Young Willo) now serving in the army use to put two radios together one with a beat the other with a blank tape to record we had dreams of having or own studio .what got me started was listening to “Dj Screw” and the “SUC” I liked the way they all came together and would freestyle on tapes so I made a group called 4YG’s and that how I got where I’m at
What are you currently working on and what can we expect to see? Right
now I’m working on an album called “Road Trip” should be a good project also just dropped a street mix tape called “Irap da mix tape”
Tell us about one of the hardest challenges you had to face in the industry?
The hardest thing I had to face hade to be releasing my first project thinking people wasn’t going to like my style and accept me and what I was bringing to the industry

Fresh faced and full of style, Houston rapper Young Von is ready to release his newest work, the Vonathon EP, on Friday August 12th. I gave the album an early listen and I was impressed from the time the first track played to until he finished his last verse on “#YoungHouston”. Homie is really doing his thing in the music game and I’ve got mad respect for him. He says without music “I would be a loser yo, I honestly think that”. I highly doubt that, but I’m glad this kid does have music, because he’s bringing something different, something quality to your ear drums.

his Debut Album
May 09, 2011 – Houston, Texas—–Houston rapper, Mello, releases his anticipated single “Look What I Done Did” from his debut album Finally. “Mello,” formerly known as “King Mello,” is no stranger to the music and entertainment industry. Mello was first introduced to music insiders back in 2001 when he recorded with R&B singer, Ashanti, on the original-remix of her billboard hit, “Rain on Me.” Quickly after, he linked up with prominent Houston rapper, Mike Jones and began touring with Ice Age Entertainment.
Mello’s first solo-project
Since then, Mello has been featured on countless television shows including, “Last Call with Carson Daly,” “The Late Show with Jimmy Kemmel,” and Nick Cannon’s “Wild ‘N Out.” He has collaborated with some of the best in the industry including, Lil Wayne, Eminem, 50 Cent, Paul Wall, Dallas Blocker and Mike Jones.
This will be Mello’s first solo-project and his new single “Look What I Done Did” has been well received amongst the local DJ’s. As a rapper, songwriter and producer, Mello is definitely an artist to look out for as he paves the way to the top.
